Three Scrumptious Smoothie Recipes
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a green smoothie? Health? Kale? Repulsive taste? Well, I am here to let you know that green smoothies are one of the best things that I’ve incorporated into my lifestyle. Since January of this year, I have had a green smoothie nearly every day! I stopped for a while, due to not feeling well, but I am back to my regular scheduled programming, and I will not be slowing down any time soon! Now, I will say that I have not lost weight due to the green smoothies, but one thing that drinking them has done is reduce my sweet tooth tremendously. I’ve also noticed that if I drink them in the morning, I have a bit more energy throughout the day. That is essential for me, especially since my hypothyroidism tends to deplete my energy.
Well, here are three of my favorite smoothie recipes. These are in no particular order. Give one of them a try and let me know what you think!
Recipe 1
1 handful of kale
1 handful of spinach
1 apple
1 banana
Water (I just put enough in to get my desired thickness. I do not have an accurate measurement for it)
Recipe 2
1 handful of spinach
2 celery stalks
½ handful of frozen mixed berries
Hemp, chia, and flaxseeds
Water (I just put enough in to get my desired thickness. I do not have an accurate measurement for it)
Recipe 3
1 handful of kale
1 handful of spinach
4-5 slices of frozen peaches
Frozen ginger
Water (I just put enough in to get my desired thickness. I do not have an accurate measurement for it)
